‘Your Carriages Await… ’
We always enjoy having larger groups to visit, and Linda, Peter and Francis (Our French estate manager) are always on hand to ensure that your stay runs smoothly. We have had a variety of groups, including:
- Reunions of Family and Friends
- Church Retreat groups
- Murder Mystery enthusiasts
- A reunion of a pre-natal group complete with 1 and 4-year olds (and the only group for months not to break anything!)
- Old School Reunions
- Birthday Celebrations
- Barbeque Weekends
- Golden and Silver Wedding anniversaries
- Wedding parties
As a private group you may rent the whole Chateau on a self-catering basis, or with part or full catering, for a minimum of two nights. This gives you the number of bedrooms you need, plus the large kitchen, dining-room, drawing-room and music room, all on the ground floor. Depending on numbers, you can hire the Chateau on its own (up to 16 in a private party) or add in the Farmhouse (giving you capacity for six more) – and we shall be delighted to see you!
The grounds are also perfect for a weekend Garden Party, Barbeque on a grand scale - or just generally to explore and enjoy the ambience.
The use of the Château dining room is exclusive to your group (we banish ourselves to the servants’ hall…), so that we can look after the larger numbers. You may elect to completely self-cater, request us to prepare perhaps one big special celebration meal, or be fully catered. For evening meals we serve two alternatives: a four course dinner (the full works for celebratory events!) or a more modest (and less disabling) three course one. We also have an interesting selection of ‘Château Specials’; meals that have evolved from adapting both English and French dishes to local ingredients, plus (we think), a little culinary flair of our own. Also, if you or any of your party have special dietary needs, please let us know at the time you make your reservation.
